Uganda Christian Lawyers’ Fraternity (UCLF)
Uganda Christian Lawyers’ Fraternity (UCLF) is an association of Christian legal professionals which was started in 1986 as a fellowship of Christian law students. It was registered as an NGO in 2005 and has since grown to over 500 members who are working in the different facets of the Justice, Law and Order Sector and the Private Sector.
UCLF’s Mission is premised on Proverbs 31: 9 “Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and the needy.”

To share our faith in Christ, promoting access to justice and respect for human dignity through speaking up, fellowship, mentorship and defending the rights of the vulnerable.
- To inform and educate people from every section of society, especially those who have no access to legal information, about the law and their rights.
- To advocate for, represent and advise those who have no voice and are unfairly disadvantaged.
- To advocate for the enactment and implementation of fair laws and policies in harmony with Christian values.
- To encourage ethical legal practice and community involvement by providing pro-bono opportunities to indigent clients.
