
On Saturday, 26th October 2024, the Uganda Christian Lawyers’ fraternity team led by Mrs. Dorothy Kayanja went for a one day mission and legal sensitization trip to Namawojjolo in Mukono district. The team set off from the UCLF offices at 7:00 AM and arrived in Mukono by 10:00 AM.
HIIGHLIGHTS OF THE EVENT.
Pastor Charles Boniface Lubwama of World Bridge Prayer Centre Church in Namawojjolo hosted the UCLF team. A number of activities were carried out during the mission such as evangelism, door-to-door visits of the people within Namawojjolo, sharing of donated items, legal sensitization at Namawojjolo market and a church service at World Bridge Prayer Centre Church.
One of the highlights of the event was that after the door-to-door visits from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Namawojjolo 43 people were able to give their lives to Christ and were born again and they were invited to church later in the afternoon. These people were introduced to Pastor Charles Boniface Lubwama for continued spiritual support and guidance.
The project assistant under the Access to Justice department at UCLF, Counsel Martha Nabijjewa together with Counsel Joel Wangwa went to Namawojjolo market from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM to carry out a legal sensitization campaign wherein they educated the people about the how to write a will and the importance of writing a will and answered the various questions that people had in regards to the law.
Church service began at 1:00 PM with uplifting praise and worship and testimonies, then Pastor Charles thereafter welcomed the UCLF team back from the field visit and welcomed Mrs. Dorothy Kayanja who led the team in distributing clothes and other items that had been donated by UCLF members to be given out during the mission trip to men, women and children.
CONCLUSION.
The UCLF mission to Namawojjolo was a resounding success, bringing the Lord’s word closer to the people of Namawojjolo.
