UCLF received an 84 year old widow and her daughter and they two were seeking legal help due to the fact that her daughter wanted to evict her from her matrimonial home and her kibanja. One of our advocates, Counsel Francis Nyakoojo took on the case and started representing her in court. All necessary pleadings were filed and Court made a judgement declaring that she is the owner of that kibanja, she was awarded damages and a permanents injunction, she was so delighted that she knelt and thanked God and UCLF for taking on her case and recovering the only land that her husband left her since the people she was fighting have a lot of money that they were willing to use to compromise everyone. Additionally, this case became a precedent on the law regarding kibanja interest on registered land in the courts of law
